Jim Dahlstrom, Mucial Director
A graduate of California State University San Francisco in Music and Physical Science, I oversee the musical life of St. Matthew parish, including our 5:30 pm Saturday Adult Choir, 10:30am Contemporary Ensemble, Cantors and Instrumentalists. We also have three Spanish choirs and a Chinese Choir! Each week I also spend some time assisting the music teacher Mrs. Barbara Barrett at St. Matthew School.An organist by trade, I have been playing in Churches continuously for 30 years. My previous position was at Cathedral of the Annunciation in Stockton Ca. where I oversaw the musical program, served on several Diocesan Liturgical Committees and taught classroom music at Annunciation School.
I am married to my wife Lucy for 24 years.(She also sings in the choir and cantors occasionally). We have a daughter who is a senior at the University of the Pacific majoring in Music Education with an emphasis in piano and violin.
Raised in the Daly City, it's good to be back in the Bay Area after 20 years.
