Rev. Juan LopexMy name is Fr. Juan Manuel Lopez V. I was born in Dos Aguas, Michoacan Mexico. I come from a large Catholic family. I am grateful to them because they gave me my Catholic faith and my parents' faith was a gift from our Lord Jesus Christ through the church.
I migrated to the United States in 1990 and I settle in Menlo Park, California, where I lived until I left for Oregon. Then Archbishop of San Francisco William J. Levada sent me to Mount Angel Seminary in Oregon to study philosophy.
Upon finishing my philosophy studies at Mount Angel, I transferred St. Patrick's Seminary in Menlo Park in 2003. At St. Patrick's Seminary, I finished my theological studies which prepared me to receive holy orders.
In November 4, 2007 I was ordained as a deacon, and in June 8, 2008 I was ordained into the Priesthood of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
I am happy to be working here at St. Matthews Parish because all the priests and the people are good Christians. My desire is that with the help of the grace of God, all of us at St. Matthew may open wide our ears, our minds and our hearts to let Christ transform our lives and the life of those whom we serve and meet every day.
May God bless us all.
Fr. Juan Manuel Lopez V.
