Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA)

What is RCIA?

We believe that all are called to be on a spiritual journey and what matters is not where a person is on that journey, but actually being on the journey itself. Therefore, we seek to welcome all people who feel drawn to Jesus Christ at whatever stage of their spiritual life, their hopes and dreams, their struggles or failure.

Delight in the way of the Lord and reflect on his teachings day and night.
~ Psalm 1:2

All are invited to join the process to prepare for the Rite of Christian Initiation as an adult. Join us:

  • Unbaptized Adults
  • Members of other Christian Communities
  • Adults who are members of the Church but have not yet received all the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Weekly sessions provide introductions to most of the major teaching of the Church. Our process includes instructional sessions, fellowship and celebration. RCIA is a journey toward Christ, a journey to deeper faith, and a journey to discover Christ’s Church and our place in it.

When and Where?

RCIA members are asked to attend weekly sessions on Tuesday evenings from 7:00— 9:00pm. Both English and Spanish groups will pray together and socialize together, but will have their classes held separately.

To Register…

  • Registration forms are available at the Parish Office (Monday - Friday, 10am—5pm) with Teresita Contreras, June - August.
